Conversations: More, Better and Less Awkward
Learn O.A.R.R. (Observe, Ask, Reflect, Relate) and the habits behind conversations that feel easier and go further.
Conversations: More, Better and Less Awkward is a course in how to talk with almost anyone. It starts where most advice skips: your intention, and whether you actually want to care about the person in front of you.
From there it builds, one skill at a time. You restore your curiosity, learn to shape it into questions that get people talking, notice the verbal and visual clues people offer, and practice the parts that are not words at all: facial expression, tone of voice, and body language. Those pieces come together in O.A.R.R., a simple framework you can use every day: Observe, Ask, Reflect, Relate.
The last module covers the practical stuff: how to end a conversation kindly, common traps and how to recover from them, how to run a breakfast meeting, seating and setting, and using technology well.
Fifteen video lessons in five modules. Every lesson comes with a slide deck you can download, and most come with written notes.

Who's teaching
I'm Cole Jennette. I'm a certified emotional intelligence coach, and I've spent about twenty years in worship ministry, most recently as a worship pastor. Most of that work comes down to the same thing: helping people understand themselves, connect with each other, and show up well when it counts.
These courses are the practical version of what I teach in person. Short, honest, and built so you can use something the same day you learn it.

Questions people ask
What is O.A.R.R.?
A four-part framework for conversation: Observe, Ask, Reflect, Relate. Lesson 10 teaches it, and the lessons before it build the skills it relies on.
What do I need besides the videos?
Nothing required. Every lesson includes a slide deck you can download, and Modules 1 through 3 have printable notes. Two lessons also include a worksheet.
Is this about scripts and tricks?
No. The course starts with intention and curiosity. The mechanics come after, and they work best when you actually want to care about the other person.
Who teaches it?
Cole Jennette.
